Is Beyond Med Right for Your Practice?
Our members access Beyond Med through their employers and use our platform to find participating providers based on the care they want, their location and their preferences.
Last updated 12 October 2026Practices join the Beyond Med provider network with no enrollment or monthly fee and offer members an agreed-upon discount, often approximately 20% off standard self-pay pricing. Members pay the practice directly, and there are no claims to submit to Beyond Med or reimbursements to wait for. Beyond Med is designed to connect providers with high-intent patients actively looking for elective, supplemental and self-pay care.
Which Healthcare Practices Are a Good Fit for Beyond Med?
You want to reach more high-intent, self-pay patients. Beyond Med members are not browsing a general advertising directory. They are accessing a benefit selected through their employer and actively searching for care. Participating providers can be discovered through the Beyond Med provider search based on a member's needs and location.
You offer services traditional health benefits often leave out or limit. Beyond Med is particularly well suited for practices offering elective, supplemental or wellness-focused services, including weight management and GLP-1 programs, fertility services, dermatology, med spa and aesthetics, hormone therapy and IV therapy, chiropractic care, acupuncture and massage, functional health and nutrition, and LASIK, hearing care and other specialized services. A practice does not need to offer every service through Beyond Med; participating services and locations are established during onboarding.
You are looking for a cost-effective way to grow your self-pay business. There is no enrollment or monthly fee to join the Beyond Med provider network. Unlike paid advertising, the practice does not incur an acquisition cost simply for being visible to members. The agreed discount applies when an eligible Beyond Med member receives a participating service. For practices already spending money to attract self-pay patients, Beyond Med can provide an additional growth channel without requiring another advertising budget.
You prefer direct payment and a simpler administrative process. Beyond Med is not insurance, and providers do not submit claims to Beyond Med. The member pays the practice directly at the agreed rate, according to the practice's normal payment process. This means no claims submission, no reimbursement cycle, no payment from Beyond Med, no insurance appeals or utilization review, and no change to the provider's clinical decision-making. Your staff still verify membership and apply the agreed rate.
You are opening a location or expanding a service line. New locations and service lines often need time to build awareness and patient volume. Beyond Med can help introduce those services to members who are already searching for relevant care. Practices with multiple locations, telehealth services or mobile care options may also include multiple approved service locations within the network.
You value a network built around real member demand. Beyond Med uses employer populations, member search activity and provider nominations to guide network expansion. When members request a provider or need a service that is not readily available in their area, our provider network team actively works to identify and recruit appropriate practices. This demand-led approach helps us build a network around the services and locations members are actually seeking.
When Might Beyond Med Not Be the Right Fit?
You do not offer self-pay or eligible services. If all of your services are billed exclusively through insurance and you do not maintain any self-pay offerings, Beyond Med may have limited relevance for your practice. However, an insurance-focused practice may still be a fit if it offers a specific service line that patients commonly pay for themselves.
You are fully booked and are not looking to grow. Practices operating at full capacity may not need another source of patients today. Beyond Med may still be helpful for a newer location, an underutilized service or selected appointment availability, but it does not need to apply across the entire practice.
You cannot consistently honor the agreed member discount. Members need to know that the Beyond Med discount will be honored when they schedule and receive an eligible service. Beyond Med does not necessarily require every service to have one fixed dollar price. However, the practice must apply its agreed discount or contracted rate consistently and ensure that relevant staff understand how the program works.
You cannot meet applicable provider requirements. Participating providers must hold the licenses and credentials their services require, carry whatever malpractice insurance the law requires, and meet the site standards in the provider agreement. Beyond Med reviews relevant practice and credentialing information before a provider is added to the network.
What Does Joining the Beyond Med Provider Network Involve?
The onboarding process generally includes identifying the services and locations that will participate, agreeing on a member discount or contracted rate, and providing applicable practice, licensing and credentialing information. Once active, eligible members can find the practice through the Beyond Med platform or receive assistance from our Concierge Team.
